A session with young mechanical maintenance engineers that turned into one of my most rewarding discussions in recent times. Last week, I walked into a plant with a simple agenda — talk to a young maintenance team about grease selection. What followed was anything but simple, and honestly, I loved every minute of it. The team was sharp, eager, and full of questions. Hard hats placed on the conference table. Notebooks open. A bearing component sitting right in the middle — someone had brought it in, almost instinctively, as if they knew we'd need it. We were off to a good start.
